Kia Introduces the All-New 2027 EV3 to Canada With Pricing From $36,995

The all-new 2027 Kia EV3 is built on Kia’s dedicated 400V E-GMP platform, the same electric-only architecture underpinning the EV4 and EV5. Canadian MSRP starts at $36,995 for the Light FWD trim.
That starting price, plus $2,185 in freight and up to $564 in other fees, brings the all-in price for a Light FWD to $39,744 before tax. Kia positions the EV3 around affordability, utility, and manoeuvrability, aimed at lowering the cost barrier for Canadians moving to an EV.

The Light FWD pairs a 58.3 kWh battery with 201 hp and 209 lb-ft of torque for 356 km of estimated range, the entry point into the lineup.
Stepping up to Wind FWD swaps in the 81.4 kWh long-range battery behind the same 201 hp motor, stretching range to 517 km for a $4,000 premium over Light FWD. Adding AWD on Wind, Land, GT-Line, or GT-Line Limited brings a second motor for 262 hp and 284 lb-ft total, trading some range, down to 451 km, for two driven axles.
GT AWD sits alone at the top, available by factory order, with 288 hp and 345 lb-ft from the same 81.4 kWh battery, built for drivers who want the quickest EV3 more than the longest one.
What Matters for EV Shoppers Right Now
Every EV3 charges through a built-in NACS port, and the 81.4 kWh long-range battery moves from 10 to 80 percent in about 31 minutes on a 350 kW DC fast charger. A Level 2 home charger refills that same battery in roughly seven hours overnight, plugging in after a day of errands and waking up full.
Cargo space stays practical for a sub-compact SUV: Kia estimates 2,823 litres of total interior space, a 25-litre front trunk for charging cables, and up to 740 litres behind the rear seats.

Those who drive longer routes across the province and want to skip AWD get their farthest range on Wind FWD, Land FWD, GT-Line FWD, or GT-Line Limited FWD at 517 km. Drivers who need traction through wet or snow-covered roads point toward the AWD versions instead.
